Architecture Residential of Jasper Lane by BVN Architecture

January 24th, 2010 - Posted in Architecture

Here is residential building designed by BVN Architecture located in Brisbane, Australia. Access is by a narrow lane from the street to arch which the houses are located. All houses are generally over 3 levels, each has an address and garage to the lane, with small and large courtyard spaces to the North and South. The relatively low cost varying design and spatial briefs and restricted site influenced the design approach which employs venational construction techniques and standard systems for an economy of means but with a degree of diversity of expression within a range of design manners.

White registered masonry and flat painted light sight sheeting to walls are composed with relatively large areas of glazing and screening in both timber and aluminium in response to a need to increase privacy. All houses enjoy North / South orientation, excellent access ventilation and generous outdoor living areas, overlooking larger private courtyards and wider views, depending on location, for maximum enjoyment of the benign sub-tropical climate.
